Missoni coat part II

2

Missoni Coat WIP

As promised, here is the following of the adventures of the Missoni coat ... I 've started crocheting 11 plain granny squares of 4 rows, but I soon realized that the coat would be too large. After measuring I decided to keep only nine 3 rows squares for the back and fronts. I've hesitated at the beginning, but the advantage is that is that once this problem is solved, the rows are much shorter, I would have ended so soon!

Once the square have been crocheted, I have started to join them and I have worked from the top to the bottom, with the ripples. The advantage of is that I could adjust the length at the end. I'm using a 4mm hook, that goes pretty fast because I'm used to work with thin yarns...

To work the part above the square, I've made half grannys. For me, this is the funniest of the job, until the armholes ... Playing with stitches and colors, everything I like!

Another positive of is that I'm using my stash that grows faster and faster.. Just enough to buy back some new yarns without feeling guilty!

  24. Are the rows increasing in number of stitches as you work down? How did you make the waist slimmer than the bottom? Have you made any progress on creating a pattern? Was there an third installment in your progress? I don't see one. I want to know more!!
